A project aimed to explore the relations between symbols and meanings, as a basis for logo design.
For this project we were briefed to choose three values for a given subject and to create three non-figurative symbols to communicate each value, which should be featured in a moving image.
I choose humanity as my subject, focusing the question of humanity and
exploring what
makes us uniquely human.

Human is a short film, which communicates my set of chosen values regarding humanity:
Reason, Creation and Free will. This film is inspired by the biblical concept of the Image of God, man was created to be a creator,
imagined to imagine a new future.
The film acts as a cycle, it shows how man creates, awakens, and chooses how to shape the future of the following generation.

From left to right:

I create marks by hand, the most primal and human way of mark making.
Each one of the three marks is created by a unique gesture, which represents its meaning.
